Stuff-A-Truck Food Drive
The Stuff-A-Truck food collection drive has started and runs through November 9. All food and toiletries go right to our local food bank. Please send non-perishables as you are able, such as: can goods, baking goods, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. The classroom that collects the most items will receive free personal pan pizza certificates from Pizza Hut.
Thanksgiving LuncheonThursday, November 15th is our traditional Thanksgiving Luncheon. This annual event includes a family style meal prepared by our kitchen and served by many parent volunteers. Our Kindergarteners will delight us with singing prior to the meal as well! Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate parent visitors at lunch on this day. In order to attend, you must be a volunteer, sign-up information will come home soon. We will be sitting with our Kindergarten buddies on this day. Don't forget to dress nice!
New Reading Counts Goal
With the new trimester starting on Monday, Nov. 5th, comes new goals! Every trimester, we reset ourselves back to zero points, and begin earning points again. So, your child will start back at zero points on Monday, and we need to earn 18 Reading Counts points for this trimester. I will send home in their report card what they achieved for the 1st trimester. They set new goals in their data notebooks for the upcoming trimester. Hopefully they are getting the hang of Reading Counts and how it works by now.
