Stuff-A-Truck Food Drive

The Stuff-A-Truck food collection drive has started and runs through November 9.
All food and toiletries go right to our local food bank.
Please send non-perishables as you are able, such as:  can goods, baking goods, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. The classroom that collects the most items will
receive free personal pan pizza certificates from Pizza Hut.

Spelling Team Meeting Thursday
The informational meeting for this year's spelling team will be on Thursday at lunch recess.  Please encourage your students to come and find out about the spelling team.  Here's how the team works:

1. At the meeting Thursday students will receive a list of words to study for the written test.

2.  Next Wednesday, at lunch recess, I'll give a written test.  The top twelve spellers will be on the spelling team.

3.  We will practice at lunch/recess time 2 x per week until the school bee in January.  This will determine the 3 students, plus an alternate, who will compete in the regional, Cloverleaf, bee in late February.

4.  Serious spellers will spend LOTS of time outside of school preparing/studying for the bee!  At school we will get tips and tricks, and practice the routines of the real bee so those becomes second nature.
