Word Study
Please make sure your child continues to practice their word study word list each week.
We have added all our lists to Spelling City.  This is a program that allows students to practice
the words online.  The link is: www.spellingcity.com/users/lincoln3rd and is also available on the
teacher itsLearning page. Spelling City can be written as a “My Choice” assignment on their weekly
homework.

Nutcracker UP DATE!
Be sure to click on the link below to find out what clothing your child will need to wear under their
costume. Please let me know if you have any questions. Also, Please continue to have your
student practice all of the songs for our performance at home  https://3rdgradenutcracker.weebly.com/.
The Nutcracker is scheduled for Monday, December 10th, with a school performance at 1:30, and
the evening performance at 6:00.  Mark your calendar!

Ice Skating with Buddies
Thanks to our PTO and the City of St. Joseph, our Lincoln School K-5 students will be able to ice
skate for free at the Howard Ice Arena on Thursday, December 13.   Our class will walk with our
buddies in Mrs. Mutchler’s class to and from the ice rink. We will skate from 11:15-12:00.
The ice-skating and skate rental is FREE for our students and any parents that can come and help.
The more adults we can have helping students with skates, the better! Students are encouraged
to bring their own ice skates. The number of skates per size is limited. If your child has their
own skates, label with their name and allow them to bring them that day.  Skates brought to
and/or from school on the bus must be in a duffle bag or a brown paper bag. Safety/protective
helmets are also encouraged & welcomed.

Christmas Party

We will be doing out class Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 21st from 2:05-3:05.
I will send out more info soon!
